Sasanokawa Shuzo’s sake and shochu brewing dates back to 1765. However, almost 200 years later, they decided to dive into the whiskey brewing market in 1946. Their quality was able to compete head-to-head with big rivals like Nikka and Suntory in the northeastern region of Japan. Most importantly, Sasanokawa Shuzo was also the one who helped Ichiro Akuto (Ichiro’s Malt/Hanyu Distillery) save his whiskey stocks and allowed him to build the Ichiro’s Malt brand.

The most exclusive Japanese whiskey culture, bottled in limited editions.
