Cosa Nostra Tommy Gun Scotch Whisky

The Thompson submachine gun was also informally known as “Tommy Gun”, “Street Sweeper”, “Annihilator”, “Chicago Typewriter”, “Trench Broom”, “Chicago Submachine”, “Chicago Piano”, “Chicago Style”, “Chicago Organ Grinder “,” Drum Gun “,” the Chopper “,” the Tommy Boy “or simply” the Thompson “. But eventually he stuck with the name “Tommy Gun”.

Since then, it has gained popularity among civilian collectors for its historical significance. It has considerable importance in popular culture, especially in works about the Prohibition era and World War II, and is one of the best known and most recognized firearms in history.

The original Thompson automatics are no longer produced, that’s why we invented COSA NOSTRA, a replica that retains a similar appearance to the original models, uniting and honoring the DRY LAW and the Prohibitions of the 20s.

This is a subtle yet strong tasting whiskey, which has been aged for 3 years. At sight it has an amber color. In the mouth it is intense and with a velvety texture.

It’s the ideal gift for fans of 1920s movies, gun lovers, or rare bottle collectors.

Artist Collective Miltonduff 9 Years 2009

    99.95

This single malt whiskey comes from Miltonduff in Scotland. To be more precise, the whiskey comes from Speyside. In reality, Speyside would be part of the Highlands.

But with their delicate and elegantly floral style, the distilleries along the River Spey have distinguished themselves to such an extent that Speyside is run as a separate whiskey region.

AND THIS IS HOW WHISKEY GETS ITS GOOD TASTE

The whiskey made from barley malt. The Miltonduff is not smoked. The whiskey was bottled at a relatively smooth 43.0% ABV. This ensures the smooth character of this drop. Here you can find round notes of vanilla and sweet aromas of caramel. Here there was no help. The color was obtained through aging in barrels.

2009 was an excellent good vintage. Therefore, the maturation period was only 9 years. This makes the whiskey seem a bit heady. A few more years might have done him good. This whiskey does not come directly from Miltonduff but was released by the independent bottler Signatory. Here's Signatory's answer to what makes a good Miltonduff.

Artist Collective Auchentoshan 13 Years 2007

    229.95

When we discovered this distilled version for the first time in 2007, an experience arose, its smoothness already reflecting the exquisite refining in sherry barrels, which suits this emblematic single malt from the Tierras Bajas region like a glove.

Better still, its highly nuanced and wonderfully fruity flavor and aroma palette is enriched with gourmet and spicy notes, as well as gorgeous autumnal nuances that further enhance its deeply malty character. Over the years, not only has it become an exceptional distillate, but it has also deeply developed those different notes that it gave us in 2007 when we chose the barrel.

    TASTING NOTE
Mahogany color. Nose: fine, smooth. Revealing a very pleasant rancid fruity (apricot, orange, tangerine), slightly burnt and waxy, the first nose evolves on intense notes of black fruits (blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant, cherry). After aeration, malted barley occupies the background of the aromatic palette. Gradually, superb notes of caramel, pastry (Paris-Brest) and dried fruit (figs, dates) take center stage.

Mouth: both alive and balanced. The perfect synthesis of the aromatic palette, the attack on the palate is marked by notes of apricot, salted butter caramel, crushed malted barley and precious woods. On the mid palate, flavors of prunes, roasted walnuts, dark chocolate, licorice and dried leaves spread autumnal tones to the most beautiful effect. This is further accentuated by an aftertaste made up of new dried fruit (chestnut, chestnut).

Overall: long, smooth. Gourmet, the beginning of the final invites us to savor a delicious chocolate fondant. Then, sweet spices (cinnamon, ginger) ensure a slender, powdery transition towards a finish marked by woody notes of a beautiful essence (chestnut, oak, walnut). The retronasal evokes a walnut cake and the empty glass exudes aromas of apricot and bitter orange.

  • Mac Talla Islay Single Malt Whisky Mara

    69.95

Mac-Talla Islay Single Malt Whiskey Mara is a brand of whiskey produced by Morrison Scotch Whiskey Distillers.

The Morrison family have been involved in the whiskey trade for 5 generations as merchants, brokers, blenders, bottlers and distillers, making them one of the oldest whiskey families in Scotland.

Morrison Scotch Whiskey Distillers is owned and operated solely by Jamie and Brian Morrison.

This marks the return of the Morrison family to distilling since Brian Morrison won Morrison

Bowmore Distillers, after approximately 25 years. Today, its portfolio consists of four brands (Mac-Talla, Càrn Mòr, Old Perth and Bruadar) and the Aberargie Distillery located in Perth, in the Lowlands region.

Mac-Talla, meaning 'echo' in Scottish Gaelic, reflects the connection the Morrison family has had with the island of Islay for generations. Islay whiskeys derive much of their unique character from their surroundings: the Atlantic provides notes of sea salt, peat is responsible for smoky tones and

Loch Indaal creates floral and delicate notes.

Mara reflects the maritime nature of Islay. The whiskey is aged in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels.
