Ichiro Akuto’s production is not just made up of malt, in fact, the Japanese distiller has created the most perfect blended whiskey in the world. Proof of this are the numerous figures reached at auctions for its distillates considered the most revalued in the history of Japanese whiskey.
The Japanese Blended Whiskey “Double Distilleries” expresses all the wisdom in the art of distillation, Ichiro Akuto, owner of the Chichibu Distillery and Hanyu distillery. This version is aged in Mizunara Oak barrels, providing unmistakable nuances to the deepest, most delicate and most special Japan.
The Japanese Ichiros Blended Whiskey double distilleries, as the name suggests, comes from two different single malts from the distilleries: the Hanyu, now closed and originally owned by his grandfather Ichiro Akuto, and Chichibu.
This mixture of Hanyu and Chichibu: terribly intense, wonderfully fruity is considered unique, each year a very small number of bottles are released worldwide.
Sample of these great malts are of an extraordinary quality which are from a radiance in ex bourbon barrels banana, yellow fruit, vanilla, buttery notes.

Tasting Notes:
Colour: gold
Perfumes: the nose is intense with a riot of aromas of ripe fruit and vanilla.
Taste: reminds a lot of butter bread and acacia honey. On the palate it is full-bodied, enveloping and well balanced.
Long and persistent finish.
“Double Distillery” Japanese whiskey blend finished in Mizunara Oak, will be paired with a wonderful cigar like Maestro Tornabuoni Spingarda. For slow smoking fans, we recommend pairing it with a Mac Baren Navy Flake.
