34.95€Sake is a Japanese liquor or Japanese wine or rice wine, however not all rice wines are sake.
Although it seems a bit confusing, they are easy to differentiate. It is usually taken between meals, as an aperitif, with tea or while eating sushi.
Made from fermented rice, it is thick and tastes between dry and slightly sweet and strong, some with subtle sour notes, but very refreshing.
The name of sake in Japanese, its most literal translation is alcoholic beverage, however it also designates Japanese rice liquor since this was the only alcoholic beverage in the Japanese country, until Japan opened to world trade in the 19th century.
