Old Perth was a lost blended whiskey that was originally created by the proud Perthshire family, The Thomsons.
It was the family blender, Peter Thomson, who originally produced the mix. In Peter’s honor, not only is every case of Old Perth named after his family.
Old Perth “The Original” is also named to reflect the whiskey Peter created all those years ago.
Peter Thomson began his career in the grocery, wine and spirits business in Perth, Scotland, in 1908.
Soon after, he established his own whiskey blends.
One of these was Old Perth, which quickly became popular in Scottish pubs, being the favorite brand in the country.
